11.11 explained: your questions answered

What does 11.11 mean?

The name is simply the date: day 11 of month 11, widely known as Singles' Day. It began in China as a day for people who are not married and grew into a worldwide sale season covering most kinds of products.

In Saudi Arabia, 11.11 now kicks off the November sales. noon, for instance, describes it as the first month of a shopping run that ends with Yellow Friday and Black Friday, and its 2025 deals lasted from 8 to 12 November.

This year 11.11 is on Wednesday 11 November 2026. Deals normally start a few days earlier and carry on after the day itself.

Do many stores in Saudi Arabia take part?

Yes, large platforms in the Kingdom join in. AliExpress, as one example, stretched its 2025 11.11 sale from 11 to 19 November and followed it straight away with end-of-November deals from 20 November to 3 December.

Okaz also reported figures from a YouGov survey commissioned by AliExpress about shoppers in Saudi Arabia, among them:

  • Over 65% buy online at least once a week.
  • 35% start planning for the big sale seasons several weeks ahead.
  • 72% name exclusive deals and discounts as their main reason to buy.

What should I sort out before 11.11?

Bear in mind that some stores let their subscribers in first: in 2024 Amazon Saudi Arabia started 11.11 for Prime members at midnight on 7 November, a day ahead of everyone else, and added an instant discount with selected bank cards, plus instalments through Tabby and Tamara and interest-free bank plans on eligible orders.

A short checklist:

  • Put the products you really need on your wishlist in each store's app.
  • Write down their prices two weeks or more before the season, so you can compare and see whether a discount is genuine.
  • Switch on app notifications; limited deals sell out fast.
  • If you subscribe to a service such as Prime or noon One, check that it is active before the deals begin.

Does a coupon stack with another 11.11 offer?

Mostly not. noon's help pages say most offers cannot be combined with other offers, codes or coupons unless the offer's terms clearly allow it.

Some deals need a code, others are taken off automatically at checkout, and each comes with details on its cap, how often it can be used and what it excludes. noon may cancel an order that does not meet an offer's terms, so rely on the conditions shown at checkout.

If you have both a store coupon and a bank offer for the same order, compare the final price under each and pick the lower one, and read the bank offer's terms: the minimum order value, the maximum discount and which payment methods qualify.

How can I make sure a discount is not fake?

The Ministry of Commerce has rules for sales in physical and online stores to stop misleading offers. The points that matter most to you as a buyer:

  • A store needs a sales licence before advertising a sale, and must display it so you can verify it by scanning its barcode.
  • The discount rate has to be stated clearly, as a “from – to” range.
  • The price label has to show both the original price and the sale price.
  • The store has to publish its exchange and return policy for the sale period.
  • The manufacturer's warranty still applies to discounted products.
  • You can buy a product on its own without being forced into a linked promotion.

Can I send back what I buy on 11.11?

In most cases, yes. The E-Commerce Law lets you cancel the contract within 7 days of receiving the product as long as you have not used it, and the return cost is yours unless the store agrees otherwise.

The right does not cover: products made specially for you, software and discs once used, newspapers, magazines and books, damage caused by misuse, accommodation, transport and meal services, and software downloaded from the internet.

If delivery takes more than 15 days from the order date, or goes past the agreed date, you can cancel and get your money back. Some stores offer a longer return window in their own policy, so look at the product page before you buy.
